The Mission Partnership campaign raises money for people in need living in the Philadelphia and Harrisburg areas. This year employees from Keystone Mercy, AmeriHealth Mercy and CBHNP/PerformCare raised more than $230,000 during the campaign.

During an annual fundraising campaign, employees from Keystone Mercy Health Plan, AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan and CBHNP/PerformCare donated more than $230,000 to help people in need from the Philadelphia and Harrisburg areas. The annual fundraising campaign, called Mission Partnership, took place from February 11 through February 21.

Employees elected to contribute money towards the Member Scholarship program, Associate Scholarship program and Gifts of Mercy. The fundraising campaign ended with a grand finale event where one employee won $1,200 and another employee was the winner of an Apple iPad. Keystone Mercy, AmeriHealth Mercy and CBHNP/PerformCare are all members of AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies.

“Mission Partnership is one of the many ways our company and employees give back to our members and contribute to the communities we serve,” explained Sister Renee Yann, Senior Vice President and Chief Mission Integration Officer. “The great generosity of our employees allows us both to help our members achieve their educational goals, and to reach out to some particularly challenged families during the holiday season.”

Employees are encouraged to donate money to three different company sponsored programs. The Member Scholarship program allows members of Keystone Mercy and AmeriHealth Mercy to receive scholarships for college or vocational school. The Associates’ Family Scholarship program allows employees’ family members to receive scholarships for college and vocational school. The third program, Gifts of Mercy, gives members who are having financial challenges a memorable holiday season by providing them with holiday gifts. Employees also have the opportunity to donate to organizations supported by the United Way.

Employees participate in various events like Mission Day, which teaches employees about the history of the company’s mission. Employees who pledged also had the opportunity to win various prizes throughout the campaign.

“I’ve always felt that it was important to give to the Mission Partnership campaign because it feels good to give back to someone who is in need. Winning the Apple iPad was just icing on the cake,” explained Batiekro Nabwe, Claims Examiner, AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies.
