Together with U.S. Congressman Dwight Evans (D-2nd Dist.) and Millennium 3 Management CEO A. Bruce Crawley, Patricia Marshall Harris — host of the “Dishing with Patricia” videocast and of Dishing’s “Daily Audio Podcast” (DAP) — recently convened a group of Philadelphia’s Black and Brown political, media ownership, community activist, neighborhood and small business leaders to “Do Something” more to provide information about the historic importance of the upcoming November 5 presidential election on the program. The taping was also designed to describe steps that community members might take to assist in getting out the vote on Election Day, and to provide additional support to Black and Brown media outlets in the city who have been experiencing challenges in obtaining much-needed General Election advertising commitments from the Harris/Walz campaign organization.

Participating in the recent “Do Something” podcast tapings were (left to right): Anthony Fullard, president, West Powelton Development Inc.; Catherine Hicks, publisher, Philadelphia Sunday SUN; Sherri Darden, owner and publisher, Scoop USA Media; Hernán Guaracao, publisher and CEO, AL DÍA news media; A. Bruce Crawley, CEO and president Millennium 3 Management, Inc.; Patricia Marshall Harris, and U.S. Congressman Dwight Evans (seated, front).

In one segment of the “Do Something” (DAP) podcast taping, Crawley and Evans — who also serves as a member of the influential House Ways and Means Committee — presented their thoughts on ways to more effectively communicate why elections matter to podcast listeners, and about the importance of turning out registered voters — the key to successful Election Day outcomes.
