NORRISTOWN, Pa. — On January 6, the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners re-elected Commissioner Jamila H. Winder to serve as chair of the board for 2026.
“We have continued to demonstrate to Montgomery County what effective and collaborative leadership should look like. Together, we passed a bipartisan budget that focuses support where it’s needed most and manages County resources carefully and efficiently,” Winder said.
“At the same time, we know there are real challenges ahead: housing insecurity, rising prices, mental health needs, and improving how we operate as a County. Delivering for our residents takes the collective effort of the entire board. I’m proud to serve and will continue to work alongside Commissioner Makhija and Commissioner DiBello to advance a shared agenda that fulfills our promises to the residents of Montgomery County.”
“This board has consistently shown that at the local level, we can work together to respond quickly to our residents’ needs and priorities,” said Neil K. Makhija, Montgomery County Commissioner. “It was my honor to chair the Board in 2025, and I’m looking forward to building on our successes with Commissioner Winder once again serving as Chair.”
“From day one, we’ve been committed to working together to make Montgomery County the best place it can be,” said Thomas DiBello, Montgomery County Commissioner. “With Commissioner Winder returning as Chair, we’ll continue to put politics aside to address the County’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. Many of our goals and objectives are closely aligned so 2026 is going to be a very busy but exciting year.”
