Now that Lent is coming to an end and the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection begins, we observe all He did for us. And through his crucifixion, we acknowledge Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for all of our sins. When you express gratitude during this season, you glorify God. By taking the plate away from yourself and showing kindness to others, you continue to give glory where it is due. You give honor to God, and forgiveness and love to others.
The gratitude during this season means loving your enemies, dealing with heartbreaks and disappointments, especially during those times when life was so hard and challenging that you didn’t think you would make it. But then God showed you otherwise. He pulled you through, He showed you your strength, and uplifted your life in His light that you walk and pray in every day. The challenges, tribulations, and trials are all created to make you the person that God created you to be.
It is human to be sad and angry when things do not go your way. But eventually, that will not get you very far in solving your problems. How does that allow you to be the treasure that you are? The gratefulness of this season is to be the best of who God wants you to be. It is not about the crowns on your head, or the money in your bank account; it is all about the glory of God in this season of gratitude as you share and show others your light by way of your kindness.
As spring continues to flourish, remain true to who He says you are, as well as uplift the things you acquire in gratitude. Look for yourself to walk in the light of Jesus. Your family members will follow your lead, your friends follow your example, and your enemies fall in gratitude for who you are this season.
It is time to get up and get out — to speak up and speak out. It is time to shout from the rooftops your gratitude, showing it in this season that you are currently living in. Be blessed, know that you are worthy, and know that God loves you as you are being grateful in this season.
