Voter ID trial scheduled to start July 15

Judge Robert Simpson last week issued an order scheduling the voter ID trial for July 15, 2013, at the Pennsylvania Judicial Center in Harrisburg. The trial is expected to last about a week. Plaintiffs are seeking a permanent injunction to stop implementation of the state’s voter ID law.

On 01/14/13, Chelsea Ramsey-Jones a 14 year old black female, was reported missing from 100 block of N. 60th st. after Chelsea failed to return home from Barry Elementary School on 01/14/13. On 01/17/13 Southwest Detectives were informed that the complainant is Autistic and suffers cognitive impairment.

Rep. Parker found guilty of DUI

As reported by the Inquirer/Daily News, State Rep. Cherelle L. Parker, leader of the city’s House delegation in Harrisburg, was found guilty of drunken driving Wednesday for a 2011 incident in which her blood-alcohol level tested at twice Pennsylvania’s legal threshold of intoxication.
