This Valentine’s Day, City Food Tours is back with their slightly naughty, yet light hearted, three course dinner event featuring a feast of foods that get you in the mood. For one night only, more than 18 different aphrodisiac ingredients are seductively intertwined in three dishes that would surely get Casanova hot under the collar. Between courses, the owners of City Food Tours will share titillating tidbits about aphrodisiacs, sprinkled with hilarious yet enlightening trivia that will have everyone competing for equally entertaining prizes.

Discover the secret ingredients in Cleopatra’s legendary love potions, the reason single maidens were forbidden from touching avocados in ancient Mexico, among other fascinating food facts. The event climaxes with the sexy secrets that prove aphrodisiacs really do work! The 6th annual Valentine’s Aphrodisiac Dinner Event will be held at Day By Day Restaurant on Thursday, February 14 at 7pm.

For this special Valentine’s event, the mood will still be relaxed and fun, but to make this lover’s holiday special and memorable, Day By Day Restaurant will be slipping into something a little more sultry with white tablecloths, candlelight, and some soulful tunes in the background. The venue is located near Rittenhouse Square and has convenient parking nearby.

Tickets are $59 per person (plus tax and tip). Ticket price includes a three course dinner, a complimentary glass of wine, giveaways, and non-stop fun. This unique and entertaining event is also BYO, but there is a one bottle maximum per couple. Advanced reservations are required; call 800-979-3370 or order online at www.cityfoodtours.com. Due to adult content, this experience is for adults 21 and older. Seating is limited, and this popular event sells out every year.

This entertaining 2 ½ -hour dinner event will tantalize taste buds with the foods that are said to spice up the bedroom, as well as the torrid tales and sexy science behind aphrodisiacs. Once a year, Day By Day’s Executive Chef Dan Tursi channels his inner Barry White, gets frisky in the kitchen, and works up three sensual dishes that will have your soul swooning and taste buds begging for more.

Guests will also be treated to an entertaining cooking demonstration filled with handy tips that will surely heat things up in your kitchen. If you’re like the guys at City Food Tours, you shudder when you hear the words “complimentary glass of wine” because that usually means chardonnay, but not this time. City Food Tours has carefully selected two amazing, under-the-radar wine options that will be your new go-to favorites for every occasion.

“We created the Valentine’s Aphrodisiac Dinner Event for couples who want something more entertaining than just another restaurant dinner for two—something that makes Valentine’s Day different than just another date night,” said Robert Weinberg, co-owner of City Food Tours, Philadelphia’s premier food-focused tour and event operator.

City Food Tours-Philadelphia was launched in November 2007 by longtime Center City residents and unabashed foodies, Robert Weinberg and Eric Matzke.
