As you look back on 2023, at all the many wonders of God, and the blessings He bestowed upon your life, He also placed protections such as the footstools placed in the presence of your enemies, the vindications that you were allowed to have, but still able to feel Him in your unfortunate encounters with others.

2023, was a year that started with newness but has ended with all of the glories that you have received in the memoirs of your mind. In months prior, looking at those moments in time when you were so joyous that you couldn’t breathe, you could barely talk about the goodness that you had received. The answer to that prayer was in goodness for all that were involved, especially you. Seeing, feeling, and tasting the answer to your prayer and the times of this year when you felt that you weren’t going to be able to make it; the losses of your friends, the child or children that still aren’t walking the way that God has set for them, you experienced some challenges and difficulties within yourself, and then those things in life that we wake up to that are totally out of our control out of the realm of what you can do other than pray, other than hope, other than love.

Looking back on what 2023 had to offer, what are the “glows” you have acquired in the movements of God in your life? What has He taught you from those experiences? What have you picked up and decided to carry on your daily walk as you experience yourself and yourself with others? What are those “grows” that you have seen within you that you decided, ‘Hey I have to work on this’ otherwise, ‘if I keep doing this, I will continue to hurt those that I love.’ What are those “grows” that you said that you were now going to put an end to? Are you going to allow it to move in a different direction — to allow yourself to become better within yourself? Yes, those “glows” and those “grows”, are the moments that you can reflect upon and then take not to seek God so that you can find some change.

In looking back on 2023, there is much to be said about our nation, our state, our city, the elections, the wars, the upliftment, the gains, the failures, the grows, and so much said in so many ways. Our churches are becoming pews of emptiness. Where are you sitting in your take of your growing with God? In the church, on the pew, under the steeple, in fellowship, where are you? Are you coming to church? Do you believe in God as you did before? Are you just online taking a seat on your couch?

In looking back on 2023, let’s get closer to God, let’s do different things, let’s walk the way we used to walk, let’s make better choices upon which God would be proud of us as we walk together in 2024 praising His name. Always looking for His gifts, expecting His greatness, hoping for goodness, looking for families to come together, looking for joys to be joyous, looking for the real deal to be all about who God is in your life and what He is going to do for you as you are looking back on 2023, be sure that you are uplifting God to give you what you need as you walk into 2024.

Take care until next time….PEACE!
