ATLANTA–Police have turned over their investigative file on the circumstances surrounding Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, to the district attorney, who will determine whether any charges will be filed, authorities said Thursday.

Brown, 22, was found face-down and unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell on Jan. 31. After months in the hospital, she’s receiving hospice care. Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard said that gives his office heightened interest in the case.

“In view of the new circumstances regarding the health status of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest,” Howard told The Associated Press in a statement.

In a statement Wednesday, Pat Houston said her niece’s condition has worsened.

“Despite the great medical care at numerous facilities, Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition has continued to deteriorate,” Pat Houston’s statement read. “As of today, she has been moved into hospice care.”

The district attorney will review the investigative file “to see if any criminal charges are appropriate,” Roswell police officer Lisa Holland said in a statement Thursday.

Howard said an announcement on charges, if any, would be made at “the appropriate time.”

Brown’s father is singer Bobby Brown. Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a hotel bathtub on Feb. 11, 2012, and died shortly after.

People Magazine also reported earlier last week, that the Brown family – except for father Bobby Brown – had been kicked out of the facility.

“The hospice, based on their discussion with the fiduciary, has decided that only the guardians and the caregivers are allowed,” to visit Bobbi Kristina, a source tells People. That means “Pat [Houston], Bobby and anybody involved with the guardianship, including Cissy [Houston]” can enter the 22-year-old’s room, but other Brown family members can’t.

The decision comes on the heels of news that photos of Bobbi Kristina at her Georgia hospice were reportedly being shopped around to media outlets.

Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Leolah Brown took to Facebook Friday after several outlets, including “Entertainment Tonight” and “TMZ”, confirmed they were offered the photos.
