HBO receives 12 Golden Globe nominations– the most of any television network this year

LOS ANGELES – HBO received 12 Golden Globe nominations, the most of any television network this year, for the upcoming 68th annual Golden Globe Awards, which were announced today in Los Angeles. “Boardwalk Empire” and “Temple Grandin” led all HBO programming with three nominations apiece. The Golden Globe Awards will be presented Jan. 16 in Los Angeles.

 

HBO’s Golden Globe nominations this year include:

 

Three nominations for “Boardwalk Empire,” including Best Television Series – Drama, Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Steve Buscemi) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Kelly Macdonald).

 

Three nominations for “Temple Grandin,” including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Claire Danes) and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (David Strathairn).

 

Two nominations for “You Don’t Know Jack,” including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Al Pacino).

 

Two nominations for “The Special Relationship,” including Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Dennis Quaid) and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Hope Davis).

 

One nomination for “Hung”: Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical (Thomas Jane).

 

One nomination for “The Pacific”: Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
