The agency is encouraging all Pennsylvanians to use online services.

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is closing county assistance offices (CAOs) in Bucks and Chester counties in coordination with Governor Wolf’s mitigation guidance regarding COVID-19.

The following CAOs closed for two weeks beginning Monday, March 16:

Bucks County

–1214 Veterans Highway, Bristol, PA 19007-2593

Chester County

–100 James Buchanan Drive, Thorndale, PA 19372-1132

In-person business will resume no sooner than Monday, March 30.

While the CAOs are closed, eligibility determinations, application processing, and benefit issuance will continue for Pennsylvanians in all counties – including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery, all of which are currently closed to mitigate COVID-19 spread. Applications for benefits and renewals can be submitted online at www.compass.state.pa.us or through the myCOMPASS PA mobile app. Clients who prefer to submit paper documentation can mail the documents.

“As Pennsylvania seeks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by limiting operations in these counties, we encourage clients across Pennsylvania to take advantage of online resources like Compass and the myCOMPASS PA mobile app,” said DHS Secretary Teresa Miller. “Public assistance programs can be vital during a public health crisis, and resources are still available to ensure eligible Pennsylvanians are connected to the programs that can help them stay healthy and meet essential needs.”

Clients with questions or information to report about their case may also call the Statewide Customer Service Center at 1-877-395-8930.
