2016 is an exciting year in Philadelphia! Two important occasions contributing to such excitement including the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and the 40th Anniversary of one of our cultural treasures, the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP). In celebration of both occasions, UPPN, Alist Events Marketing, The League of 1789 and our host committee have come together in partnership to kick-off the DNC festivities to host Afro-LatinX: An Art, Music, & Culture Mixer (#AfroLatinXPHL) held Sunday, July 24, 2016, from 4pm – 7pm. We have formed a collaboration with Esperanza and the African American Museum to enhance diversity inclusion & culture among Black and Latino professionals/voters. Our lead sponsor for this event is Wells Fargo.
#AfroLatinXPHL is a complimentary event that is RSVP ONLY. This day/early evening cocktail event will feature live musical performances, DJs in two galleries, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres served.
