McDonald’s employees Alexis Capers and Tariq Baines were rewarded with $1,000 scholarship for their generosity.

Since 2014, McDonald’s Owner/Operators Tanya and Wayne Holliday helped support an annual scholarship on behalf of the late Deacon Juan Gaskins of Philadelphia.

The Juan Gaskins Generosity Scholarship supports two college bound students who exemplify generosity and kindness, are members of the Bethlehem Baptist Church; and are honor roll students at their high school.

This year, Tariq Baine and Alexis Capers, both of North Penn High School, were recipients of the scholarship. Tariq plans to attend Penn State University in the fall and study marketing, while Alexis plans to attend Lafayette College and study policy studies.

Both students boasted a 3.0 GPA and have made numerous contributions within the local community.
