For the last five years, personal trainer Tommy Knight was known for helping clients get into their best possible shape through Knight’s Personal Fitness, his personal training brand.

But as the old year drew to a close and the New Year, a time when people make resolutions about their fitness, began, Knight opened a new fitness facility, Knight’s Gym, at 3510 Scotts Lane, in Philadelphia’s East Falls section.

While the gym might look like any other gym you might see in the city, what sets its apart is it’s affordability, Knight said. For example, personal training sessons start at $25, which is less than what you might pay at other places.

“Our gym has all of the equipment that you would find at any other facility, including LA Fitness or Planet Fitness, as well as some specialized equipment that you won’t find there”, Knight said.  “We recognize that not everyone needs or wants a personal trainer, but we wanted to be able to provide the community with a place they could work out that would be known for results.”

The gym also has a juice bar, and massage area. There will also be group fitness classes, meal planning, and specialized training events offered.

Knight’s Gym is open seven days a week; Mondays through Fridays from 7am-10pm, Saturdays from 8am-4 pm and Sundays from 10am-3 pm.

The gym’s no-contract memberships are just $24.99 per month.
