World family and friends of the late Smokin’ Joe Frazier will meet to commemorate his 68th birthday, Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Philadelphia, at City Council Caucus Room 401, City Hall, 1401 John F. Kennedy Blvd., from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

“When you look in the dictionary for warrior or gladiator, picture Smokin’ Joe Frazier. We will forever lift up Joe Frazier in victory with love and respect,” said his son-in-law, Former Boxing Promoter, Pete Lyde.

His wife, former five-time Women’s World Champion Boxer, Jacquelyn Frazier-Lyde said, “At this moment, Peter, Sable, John-Joseph, Shafik (in heaven) and I thank you for your prayers, condolences, well wishes and sincere acts of kindness during the passing of my father.

Kindly keep my father in fond memory, as ‘One of God’s Men’. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus – Philippians 3:14. All are welcome to honor my Father.”
