One Day At A Time, Inc. (ODAAT) is excited to announce a partnership with Community College of Philadelphia (CCP). The Community College of Philadelphia is now offering GED/HiSET courses at the ODAAT neighborhood site, located at 2532 N. Broad Street.
ODAAT is dedicated to serving low-income communities and families that have been affected by addiction and HIV/AIDS. The organization focuses on an approach that entails providing peer support, recovery programs, community outreach, and positive lifestyles in areas of health, economic, housing and social needs.
Through this same idea, ODAAT aims to help residents achieve many avenues of success. The partnership between CCP and ODAAT is a direct reflection of ODAAT’s goals and values.
David E. Thomas, the associate vice president of strategic initiatives, and ODAAT are working to create a plan to begin enrolling clients of the ODAAT network in GED/HiSET courses. “We transform communities through education,” Dr. Thomas said. “Working with ODAAT, we can provide convenient access to the educational programs that change lives.”
ODAAT President Mel Wells stated, “I’m excited to begin this partnership with Community College of Philadelphia as we work to change and improve the lives in our community.”
