University City District (UCD) is excited to announce the return of the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll on Thursday, June 25 from 5:30 to 8:30PM. This is the 6th year University City has produced the event, and the 17th Stroll. University City’s Baltimore Avenue between 43rd and 51st Street will showcase its charm and businesses with one-night-only $1 bargains from neighborhood standouts Gold Standard, Dock Street Brewery, and Little Baby’s Ice Cream, as well as wares from newcomers Café Renata, 8 Limbs Academy, Spirited Tattooing, and Penn Café and Pizzeria. From $1 pours of craft beers to ethnic bites to special memberships and ticket offers, this West Philadelphia event has something for everyone.

The Dollar Stroll also features plenty of free entertainment provided by local acts. This year UCD is featuring jugglers in front of Milk and Honey (Baltimore and 45th), face-painters, a balloon artist, and an accordion player at the triangle at 46th Street, guitarist and singer David Falcone at 43rd, a YNOT Radio DJ at 49th and Catharine, a Polynesian dance group at the triangle in front of Dock Street on 50th, and roaming hula-hoopers and stilt walkers making their way up and down Baltimore Avenue. If that wasn’t enough, mobile food vendors The Whirly Pig, Jimmie’s Cupcakes, Milk+Sugar, Chewy’s, and Samosa Deb will also provide $1 offerings along the avenue.

The Dollar Stroll is an opportunity to visit some of UCD’s neighborhood initiatives, such as their Parklets at 4239 Baltimore Avenue (in front of Green Line Café), 810 S. 47th Street (Fu-Way Market), and 4903 Catharine Street (Little Baby’s Ice Cream and Hibiscus Café), as well as the pedestrian plaza Baltimore Crossing located at 48th and Baltimore.

The Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll is a collaborative event with the Baltimore Avenue Business Association, which works to showcase and support local businesses. The will be held rain or shine.
