Philadelphia soul music icon Patti LaBelle, will have a Center City street renamed in her honor.
Broad and Spruce Streets will be renamed Patti Labelle Way.
LaBelle will be honored during this year’s Wawa Welcome America festival on July 2 at 4 p.m.
Labelle will also read an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence in front of Independence Hall at the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony on July 4 at 10 a.m.
Ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC10 and Telemundo 62
