Philadelphia Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Constance DiAngelo, who was appointed last year, resigned on Tuesday after an Action News investigation.

The 6abc investigation involved the allegations of Aisha McCord who said her family waited weeks to bury their 16-year-old daughter, Ashay, only to learn that the Medical Examiner’s office wrongly cremated the remains— with no apology or explanation.
