The Right Click Agency joined forces with the Philadelphia SUN and the Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP for a first of its kind “Philly Innovative Awards” during a two-day branding conversation series.

Right Click, a multi-level marketing and digital advisory group based in Elkins Park, partnered with the SUN and the NAACP to catapult its inaugural “Digital Brand Explosion” which took place Dec.11 and Dec. 12 and closed with the Philly Innovative Awards ceremony at Germantown’s P4 Hub.

Anton Moore, president and founder of Unity In The Community, received the inaugural J. Whyatt Mondesire Award for Community and Civic Engagement.

Moore, who founded Unity In The Community in 2009, was honored for his efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of those in his community.

The award is named for Mondesire, the late founder of the SUN, who also served as president of the Philadelphia NAACP.

Moore said that he was surprised to receive the honor.

“I’m humbled and grateful by this recognition from the Philadelphia NAACP and Philadelphia Sunday SUN,” said Moore.

“Receiving the J. Whyatt Mondesire Award for Community & Civic Engagement is one of the highest honors.” said Anton Moore, president and founder of Unity In The Community.

Moore was one of more than 30 people who was acknowledged during Sunday’s awards.

Founder and principal of BMS Strategies LLC., Brittany Smalls was also one to be recognized on a long list of  “entrepreneurs on the move”. Like Moore and Mondesire, Smalls is also an advocate for change.

“It was shocking and a moment for me that solidified the work that I’ve been doing over the course of the past couple of years.

I don’t do this work to be recognized, but it really feels good when you can be highlighted by your peers. I think those are little inklings that God shows me confirming that I’m on the right path,” said Smalls.

Smalls said that she’s looking forward to becoming a member of the Philadelphia NAACP.

“Because I think the time is now,” said Smalls.

“We talk about millennials getting involved in the political landscape and it’s time for millennials to set the standard [Philadelphia NAACP President] Catherine Hicks and folks that came before us really laid the foundation for us. It’s time for us to carry the torch and build a monument in the city to show that the NAACP is our force.

That is our backing, it’s for Black people by Black people. And if we’re going to get ahead, the NAACP is our circle to grow the movement that we’re trying to grow in the city of Philadelphia,” Smalls added.

The honorees and conference attendees were mostly millennials looking to make an impact.

Solomon stated that a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Philadelphia NAACP but hasn’t yet disclosed what the exact dollar amount will be or how much funds were generated during the Right Click Agency’s branding conference. However, she believes that the biggest take away from the event was having business owners network together and share resources.
