On Friday, August 14, the School District of Philadelphia will host a Back to School Education Day at High School of the Future, 4021 Parkside Ave., 8AM- 3PM.
Hosted in collaboration with Radio One, Comcast Internet Essentials, Elliott Lewis and Forman Mills, the event features on-site student registration and information sessions to help prepare families for the 2015-16 school year. E! Day is aimed at getting both parents and children ready for school.
Last year, more than 14,000 parents and students attended the event. This year, we have more than 100 organizations that are prepared to offer support for parents and families. School District officials will also be available to answer questions about transportation, lunch programs, uniforms, registration and a host of other things. Highlights of Education Day include: a Family Engagement Pavilion, a Kids Zone for children of all ages to enjoy and educational games for students.
