State Sen. Shirley M. Kitchen, PRO-ACT, and Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity will hold an expungement workshop at Unit #6, Lehigh Pavilion, Philadelphia Recovery Community Center, 1701 W. Lehigh Avenue from 9 AM – 12 PM, Saturday, Oct. 24, on Lehigh Avenue to help people get a fresh start to their lives by eliminating past criminal blemishes.

“Expungement clinics help people learn the steps they need to take to seal past summary offenses – like traffic tickets and contempt of court accusations – or criminal charges that were never prosecuted,” Sen. Kitchen said. “Juvenile records may also be sealed once a person reaches 18-years old.”

Those who have current criminal charges or are on probation cannot be helped at this event, Kitchen said.

Saturday’s clinic is free, however attendees must register. Interested Philadelphians may also call 215-223-7700 to see if they qualify for expungement.
