SEPTA recruiters, in conjunction with Pennsylvania CareerLink Philadelphia representatives, gave Nicetown residents looking for new careers an advantage over their competition during a job fair on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
Presenters provided job fair participants with an in-depth overview of how to create profiles and best practices for completing online job applications through company websites.
Following the presentations, job fair participants had the opportunity to work directly with representatives from both organizations to help navigate the SEPTA and CareerLink career website portals.
With the goal of connecting residents with digital resources, participants were encouraged to bring copies of their resumes to the event on a flash drive so that they could upload and apply to jobs.
The job fair was hosted by the Nicetown Community Development Corporation (Nicetown CDC).
