State Representative Elect Jordan Harris was inaugurated into the Pennsylvania House of Representatives on January 1st, 2013 in Harrisburg, PA at the State Capitol Building.
On Saturday, January 12, 2013, Harris will hold an Inauguration Reenactment and Community Day for constituents at 2pm at The Dixon House, 1920 S. 20th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Following the ceremony there will be a reception for attendees.
Harris, who is the former Executive Director of Philadelphia’s Youth Commission, is excited to work to serve the people of the 186th Legislative District. “I am humbled to have the opportunity to serve the 186th Legislative District, my community. While my name may be on this seat in this great chamber it belongs not to me but to the residents of the 186th Legislative District, and I am their representative.”
Rep. Harris is the second youngest Representative in the House and the youngest State Representative ever elected in the 186th Legislative District.
