Councilwoman Marian Tasco was joined by block captains, committee people, clergy members, business owners and other Stakeholders, from all across the Ninth Council District for a Community Leaders and Stakeholders meeting at Community College of Philadelphia Northwest Regional Campus. The meeting provided an opportunity for all of the various Stakeholders to hear about the many programs and projects taking place throughout the district.

Presentations were made by Philadelphia Anti-drug, Anti-violence Network, Town Watch Integrated Services, Youth Outreach Adolescent Community Awareness Partnership, Logan CDC, Korean CDC, Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation and Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee. Representatives from The Offices of State Representatives Dwight Evans, Cherelle Parker and John Myers, along with the 35th & 14th Police Districts were in attendance.

The evening provided residents with the opportunity to meet and greet fellow stakeholders, discuss incidents and issues in the area, and learn ways residents can work with elected officials and City departments to achieve common goals. The topics of discussion ranged from issues of safety to future economic development projects.
