The Office of the Sheriff is looking for good men and women to be Deputy Sheriff Officers

We are recruiting candidates for Deputy Sheriff Officer.

Deputy Sheriffs are the enforcement arm of the City and County Court system. Deputies transport prisoners between area prisons and Courts and secure court lock-ups and court rooms. Once certified by the Commonwealth, they are fully empowered law enforcement officers.

The salary for a Deputy Sheriff Officer Recruit starts at $44,622 with generous benefits and pension package.

We are accepting applicants from those with law enforcement or military experience and those without.
