The Philadelphia Zoo and Walmart announce $10 Walmart Wednesdays this month

March 4, 2010 Category: Local Posted by:

The Philadelphia Zoo and Walmart have kicked off a limited time $10 Walmart Wednesdays promotion available on March 10, 17 and 24. The promotion, which features a $10.00 ticket, includes admission and parking at the Zoo on these dates and represents an approximate 60% discount for individual guests.

“We hope this initiative will encourage families to visit and enjoy the Philadelphia Zoo, a signature cultural attraction in the region,” said Philadelphia Zoo President and CEO Vik Dewan. “Through our partnership with Wal-Mart we are pleased to offer this expanded access to the Zoo at a discounted rate. This really represents a unique partnership between two organizations dedicated to outstanding experiences in an ‘easy on your pocket’ kind of way.”

“Our mission is to help people save money so they can live better,” said Steven Restivo, Director of Community Affairs for Walmart Stores. “This partnership provides local families with the chance to enjoy all the cultural and educational benefits the Zoo has to offer, at a great price. We know the economy continues to impact family-time decisions so we wanted to offer an affordable option at one of Philadelphia ‘s most exciting attractions.”

The Philadelphia Zoo is located at 3400 West Girard Avenue in Philadelphia, PA and operates from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM everyday. For more information on the Philadelphia Zoo and the $10 Walmart Wednesdays promotion, please visit www.philadelphiazoo.org.
