WDAS-FM announces Women of Excellence Luncheon honorees, Queen Latifah among awardees

105.3 WDAS is honoring phenomenal women all over the Tri-State area with our Fourth Annual Women Of Excellence Luncheon presented by  Gwynedd Mercy University.

It all happens Saturday, March 31st, 11am-4pm at The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown located on 17th and Race. This year’s honorees include:

Rev. Louise Williams Bishop, Legendary Philadelphia Broadcaster & State Rep

City Councilwoman Cherrelle Parker (District 9)

Lisa Thomas Laury, Iconic Philadelphia Anchor Woman and News Pioneer

Leslie Patterson Tyler, First Lady of Mother Bethel AME Church

Shonda McClain, Magazine Editor of The Philadelphia Tribune

 *The Special Trailblazing Woman of Excellence honor will be presented to Oscar Nominated, Grammy Award Winning, Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, Actor, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, NAACP Image Award, and BET Award Winner , Queen Latifah.

Tickets go on sale Monday, January 29th at 10am at wdasfm.com, which includes lunch and no hidden fees.

And beginning February 5th, if you’d like to nominate a woman who you think should be recognized as a local Woman Of Excellence within your community, log onto wdasfm.com to make your nomination in 105 words or less (link coming on February 5th)!
Nominations end on Sunday, February 18th at 11:59pm. And keep listening for us to let you know who’s gonna be rocking the Women of Excellence Stage that afternoon!
