When you hear the last name Tribbett and Inspirational music in the same sentence you often think of famed gospel singer Tye Tribbett who has grown to international acclaim. Now Tye won’t be the only Tribbett on Praise 103.9. His mother, Neicy Tribbett, has joined the Praise 103.9 family.
This is not Neicy’s first stint in radio. The tri-state area is familiar with her voice from her days as an on-air personality at WDAS AM/FM. Niecy brings extraordinary skills and credibility to the Praise 103.9 family. She will be heard on weekends starting Saturday, September 4 at 2 p.m.
Radio One’s Elroy R. C. Smith, National Director of Inspiration Format and Philadelphia Operations Manager of WRNB and WPPZ said: “God is in the blessing business by giving us the talents of Niecy Tribbett. The day that she debuts on PRAISE 103.9 the phone lines will be jammed.
She contributed so much of her love and energy to the faith based community in this city. She hasn’t been heard on the airwaves in years, therefore, all of us are getting an early Christmas gift; the voice of Niecy Tribbett.”
