On Monday May 7th WDAS 105.3 FM hosted an album release party with Patty Jackson as a part of Jackson’s 30 years in broadcasting celebration. Listeners were invited to Warmdaddy’s for a luncheon and sneak peak of Tank’s latest album This is How I Feel, which officially hit stores on Tuesday May 8th.

This latest project is Tank’s fifth album, which he says “has the best balance of records, like the R&B records that you would definitely hear in the club or mainstream radio, along with just straight up piano and string ballads”.

The album features the singles “Compliments (feat. T.I. & Kris Stephens)” as well as “Lonely,” a collaboration with fellow R&B star, Chris Brown. This is How I Feel also features a collaboration with rapper Busta Rhymes, as well as production from the likes of Troy Taylor, T-Minus, Kevin McCall and even Tank himself.

Tank is also scheduled to hit the stage this summer at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans. This marks the second consecutive year that Tank will take part in the three day festival, which celebrates contemporary African American music and culture.

Fans who attended the exclusive event were not only treated to a prescreening of the album but also got the opportunity to take photos with the R&B singer. The listening party was held as a part of WDAS’s yearlong celebration of Patty Jackson’s 30 years of Broadcasting. You can listen to Jackson Mondays-Fridays from 10am-3pm Monday’s thru Friday or online at www.wdasfm.com
