WDAS/FM, the region’s leading R&B radio outlet, announced last week a concert to celebrate Patty Jackson’s 30 years in radio, to be held at 7 PM, Sunday, Aug. 19.

The event will feature Gladys Knight, Freddie Jackson, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Delfonics, Glen Jones, Enchantment and Breakwater live at the Dell Music Center.

The concert, sponsored by WDAS FM, Platinum Productions and the Dell Music Center, will celebrate Jackson’s legendary career in broadcasting and current reign as the “Midday Queen of Philly.” From emceeing the city’s most high profile community events to mentoring young girls, she has made her mark on the Philadelphia community and the radio industry. Jackson has consistent ratings success and her personality webpage for WDAS FM is frequently No. 1.

“Patty Jackson has a unique place in Philadelphia radio with a style that WDAS listeners have connected with for over three decades,” said Ken Johnson, Director of Urban Programming, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Philadelphia. “Her warmth, professionalism and commitment to our community make her a true treasure.”
