105.3 WDAS FM’s sold out First Annual Women of Excellence Luncheon presented by Gwynedd Mercy University

105.3 WDAS FM, Philly’s Best R&B and Old School, will hold its first annual Women of Excellence Luncheon presented by Gwynedd Mercy University,  on Saturday April 11, 2015 from 11 AM to 4:30 PM AT First District Plaza (3801 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA.) The sold out event will feature live performances by Grammy Nominated Entertainers Tamar Braxton, Johnny Gill and Kenny Lattimore, WDAS will honor five extraordinary women:  Sheinelle Jones, News Anchor for NBC’s Weekend Today; Faatimah Gamble, Universal Companies; Susan Slawson, City of Philadelphia Commissioner of Recreation; Dr. Robin L. Smith, author and relationship expert and Tanya R. Hill-Holliday owner and operator of the largest black owned McDonald’s franchise in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.   WDAS FM will also honor four extraordinary women nominated by our listeners.  iHeartMedia Philadelphia Director of Urban Programming Derrick Corbett says, ‘With WDAS having a storied history of incredible female leaders and air talents over the course of the stations history, we felt it was a natural progression to do something special for some of the incredible women present throughout the Tri-State area…The Women Of Excellence Luncheon is our way of saying ‘thank you for all you do on a daily basis’ to them.’    

Parking is free for ticket holders, while spaces are available, and the event is also sponsored in part by Inpatient Rehabilitation from Penn Medicine.
