Siobhan Reardon, Philadelphia Free Library President and Director resigned Thursday after 12 years.

The resignation follows a letter from the Concerned Black Workers of the Free Library of Philadelphia which was posted online in June about the discrimination they regularly experience. This is in addition to the substandard workplace protections against COVID19, in which mostly low-paid Black workers would be exposed to as they deal directly with the public. See open letter here.
