The Wildwoods, NJ – The Wildwoods, NJ are bursting with attractions from the beach and boardwalk to amusement parks, events, a bike path, and beyond – making the resort destination one of the best places to visit down the Jersey shore with fun for everyone.

Consistently named among the country’s top beaches, the Wildwoods’ beaches are known for their free five-mile stretch of white sand, as well as offering plenty of room for summer beach activities. Beachgoers can choose a relaxing day in the sun, or a more action-packed agenda like surfing, boogie boarding, boating, jet skiing, paddle boarding or kayaking in the crisp, clean ocean waters. Plus, a dog-friendly beach and dog park at Glenwood Avenue Beach ensures visitors can bring along their four-legged friends while vacationing in the Wildwoods.

The Wildwoods also host numerous events on their beaches and throughout the island including the International Kite Festival, the National Marbles Tournament, Harlem Globetrotters, WWE, Monster Truck Beach Races, Sand Sculpting Festival, Italian Festival, Irish Festival, BBQ & Blue Festival, Seafarers Festival, sporting tournaments, weekly concerts and many more.

In addition to the award-winning beaches and over 160 events held each year, the world-famous Wildwoods Boardwalk is a summer “must” for visitors. This ‘2 1/2 miles of smiles’ features three amusement piers with over 100 rides and attractions, three beachfront waterparks, arcades, carnival games, shops and eateries. In fact, the Wildwoods have more retail shops and restaurants than the Mall of America.

Thrill-seekers can venture down the Boardwalk to Morey’s Piers, an amusement park for all ages including kiddie rides, family rides and thrill rides. There are four exciting coasters that are sure to thrill even the bravest roller coaster enthusiast: the Sea Serpent, the Great Nor’easter, the Great White and the all new Runaway Tram.

Vacationers are also encouraged to take advantage of the Wildwoods’ ‘Bikeability’ with a scenic 12-mile round-trip bike path – stretching from the Wildwood Crest Dunes Bike Path, up onto the Wildwoods Boardwalk to North Wildwood’s Mulberry Bike Path, to the North Wildwood Sea Wall. Wildwood vacationers have the option of a leisurely, or athletic, bike ride throughout the Wildwoods. There are also many bike rental shops all along the Boardwalk and throughout the island where visitors can rent any type of bike.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Being so close to the ocean and the bay provides some of the best wildlife habitats in the region. Visitors can take a bike ride around the island to see all the wildlife and plant life on the dunes; and in wildlife management areas and wetlands, they can explore and learn more about the shore’s one-of-a-kind ecosystem.

The proximity to the ocean and bay is also great for fishing. Fishing enthusiasts can spend the day at the Intracoastal Waterway – known locally as “the back bay,” or at the designated beaches along Hereford Inlet in North Wildwood. Fishing charters for deep sea fishing, or boat rentals to fish the back bays, are also available.

With so much to see and do, the possibilities for fun are endless – making the Wildwoods truly the ultimate vacation experience at the Jersey Shore.
