Northwest Philadelphia small business owners gathered to hear from expert panel; Q&A addressed methods for how to invest in upgrades for business improvement
Last week, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union and Mt. Airy USA hosted a workshop for small business owners at the newly opened Philadelphia Immigrant Innovation Hub in Mount Airy. The event’s theme focused on ‘Investing in an Upgrade to Improve Your Business’, which aimed to help established businesses learn methods on how to improve and grow.
The panel discussed various topics including: business lending, search engine optimization, commercial building revitalization and business development. In addition to the educational Q&A, event attendees were given the opportunity to network with fellow business owners and receive a demo about search engine optimization.
The expert panel consisted of Philadelphia area professionals including: Robert Scavilla, CEO, FourFront; Giana Lawrence, Commerce Department, City of Philadelphia; Cherrill Wilson, Associate Director, Temple University Small Business Development Center; and Morgan Stewart, Business Lending Manager, Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.
